Nintendo's Scraping the Bottom of the Tank

Nintendo has made some great titles, (Super Mario Bros, Metroid, Legend of Zelda, etc.) and I agree sequels and remakes are fun, but I think most of us are ready to move on. From what I can find out, currently Nintendo is working on ONLY sequels and remakes, ignoring those of us who yearn for something new. I feel like Pikmin was Nintendo's last big hit. I for one am getting sick of the constant new Mario and Legend of Zelda titles coming out. Not that they should stop making those titles completely, but just that they should focus on something new, maybe even better. And lately, the sequels coming out makes Nintendo look like they're really scraping from the bottom of the tank for new ideas.
