Hello,
My new wii recently started giving me problems. The remote works fine until I start playing a game, like wii sports. I can get into the game and start bowling. But once I start the game the remote won't let me play. Like I go to throw the ball and all it does is drop it. I have tried it with other games and different remotes and I get the same problem. Any ideas how I can fix it?

It sounds like your Wii remote is able to sync with the console and use the pointer feature. Is this correct? I'd suggest a quick step to check the motion sensor functionality. Hold the Wii Remote with the button side down and, without using much force, tap the button side of the remote against the palm of your other hand.

If this does not resolve your issue, you may want to give Nintendo's Consumer Service Department a call.

one other thing you might want to check is to go into the wii settings and check the sensitivity of the sensor bar. to do this go into the wii settings and then go to the second page of them. the second option from the top will say sensor bar. in there, you can select whether the sensor bar is above your tv or below it. and under that option is sensitivity adjustment. when you do this you want to be where you are in the room during your normal playing it. you simply adjust it with the + and - keys on the wiimote until you only see two blinking dots on the screen. i am sugggesting this because i had a similar issue and found that this fixed my problem. hope it helps

I am not a big fan of the Wii remote. I think that's waht Nintendo needs to work on for their next release or update of the Wii. A newer remote that works well, doesn't malfunction every now and then, and that serves it's only purpose: to let us have a great time playing Wii! Should they come out with a new controller, or keep this one?

I agree with you, thanks!
